MMK steel output flat at 3.39 mln tns in July–September

MOSCOW, Oct 13 (PRIME) -- The steel output of Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) remained flat on the quarter at 3.39 million tonnes in July–September, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Production of cast iron fell by 0.6% to 2.624 million tonnes.

In January–September, steel production grew by 22.1% on the year to 10.091 million tonnes, cast iron output rose by 14.8% to 7.836 million tonnes and coal concentrate production grew by 15.1% to 2.557 million tonnes.
